METROPOLITAN FC vs DESARIA FC

In what many people thought would b an easy ride for KDU FC,surprisingly turned out to be an uphill battle that ended up with defeat to the hosts (KDUFC)!
The four teams tournament started with Metropolitan taking on Desaria, in a match Metro,as they are affectionately called by their fans were predicted "winners" in this encounter.

It was Desaria who surprisngly took the lead in the first quarter of the game, and Metro levelled matters through their "new signing" Tinto within a space of 10 minutes after Desaria took the lead. It was one way traffic after the equalising goal, with Metro stamping their authority in the game they could have won with an avalanche of goals, only to be let down by their poor finishing.The game had to be decided through penalty shoot out, after both teams huffed and puffed to finish the game in 90 minutes.

Despite not having a seasoned goalkeeper, Desaria emerged winners through penalties, and had to wait for the second game between KDUfc and Psycho fc, to see who was joining them in the finals.

KDU FC vs PSYCHO FC

The second game started at a high tempo, with both sides trying hard to get an early goal, then take it form there. It was KDU fc who came close to taking the lead with Masitara"Duicker"'s thunderbolt rattling the crossbar with Psycho goalkeeper well beaten and left rooted on the turf. Psycho fc tried in vain to get that goal, but it was hard to break through the KDU defense which was marred by KB"Robocop" and Co.
Credit must go to KDU for the entertaing football they displayed, and the level of discipline they showed on the day, despite some of the decisions the reffree took against them. KDU should have took the lead had the reffree stood by his decision of awarding them a penalty after Samuel 'Zidane' Lephalo was fouled in the box, but the linesman had other ideas, saying the incident happened outside the 18 area, much to the disappointment of KDU fans who had thronged the Kelana Jaya stadium in numbers.
The score was still 0-0 when both teams went to break.

The second half was totally different with Psycho pushing forward in numbers to get that goal, and it certainly came, after a defensive error and Psycho midfielder Morongwa's snap shot hit the back of the net.The goal seemed to have sparked and infuriated so much energy in the game, as KDU upped their gear in search for an equalizing goal, and it came within 20 minutes before time via their danger man "ZIDANE", hitting the pig's skin(Ball) first time after a scramble in the 18 area. It was now 1-1, and both teams had a chance to win the game, and had it not been for too much passing by KDU forwards infront of Psycho's 18 area, KDU could have won the game in 90 minutes. The game had to be decided through penalties again, with Desaria holding their breath not to meet up with KDU, after the latter's impressive performance against Psycho.

Desaria prayers were answered as KDU lost to PSYCHO, with three of their players missing their spot kicks.KDU had a better chance of winning the game after PSYCHO had missed their first spotkick, but luck eluded the lads from Damansara.
Hard Luck boys, there is still so much to play for, so keep ur heads up, and know that your are still the best so far in Malaysia....VIVA kdu fc VIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINAL: DESARIA FC VS PSYCHO FC

The final was rather a dull affair, and it failed to live up to expectations of many spectactors....and it seemed as if fatique had gotten the better of both teams!Overall both teams tried had to get their hands close to the RM 650 cash for tthe winners, and it was Psycho who managed to win the game 3-1 in a extra time, after playing 1-1.

KDU TOURNAMENT ON THE 31st OF MAY!

KDU team has organized a futbal tournament featuring four Botswana teams in Malaysia. The teams included in this promising showdown are the hosts KDU, METROPOLITAN FC, PSYCHO FC & DESERIA FC. The tournament comes right after KDU lost to METROPOLITAN in a highly contested match a few weeks back, with Metropolitan winning the game 2-1, courtesy of two goals from their enterprising midfielder Richard 'Mricho'. KDU managed to reach the finals via Samuel 'zidane' Lephalo, who made no mistake by slotting two neat goals against APPIT, leaving their bemused goalkeeper sprawled on the ground on two occasions. Mpiwa made sure that his team goes to the finals by scoring a superb brace , rounding off the Psycho goalkeeper to find his team a place in the finals. Both of the finalists had to come from behind to with their games.

This tournament promises full of action & drama, since there is pride at stake for both teams. The games are scheduled to be in kelana Jaya, KDU GROUNDS. Wish all the best the best of luck, & may the best team win....viva KDU viva!
